A leader from the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, Mark Fisher, co-founder of BLM Rhode Island, has made a surprising endorsement by expressing support for President Donald Trump in the 2024 election. Fisher accused Democrats of implementing “racist policies” and labeled them a “racist party” that goes against the interests of the black community.

During an appearance on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends,” Fisher explained his endorsement for Trump and criticized the Democrats, highlighting the shift of black voters away from the party. Recent reports suggest a decline in support for Democrat President Joe Biden among black Americans.

“It’s the duplicity of the Democrats, the hypocrisy,” Fisher told Fox host Lawrence Jones.

“We’re not stupid. The brothers are not stupid.

“We understand when someone’s for us and when someone is not, and it’s obvious that the Democratic Party is not for us.”

“The policies actually strike at the heart of the black family and the nuclear family,” he continued.

In a recent interview on “The Kim Iversen Show,” Mark Fisher emphasized that Democrats do not appreciate the black vote. Fisher, co-founder of BLM Rhode Island, commended President Trump for promoting policies aimed at uplifting the black community.

“We’ve been used and abused for so long by that party, they don’t value our vote,” Fisher said.

“Their policies are basically racist policies. I believe it’s a racist party.

“Donald Trump is just the opposite. He’s he’s going to tell you how it is. He’s going to give it to you straight.”

“Trump has done more for the black community than I can any president I can think of in my lifetime,” he continued.

A recent New York Times/Siena College poll has sparked concerns among Democrats, revealing an unprecedented level of support for Trump among black voters in battleground states won by President Biden in 2020. Black voters in Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin are now indicating 22 percent support for Trump, a notable increase from eight percent in 2020.

In May, a poll indicated that only 41 percent of black adults expressed a desire for Biden to seek a second term, with 55 percent stating they would likely support him in the general election. Mark Fisher suggested that some black voters supporting the Democratic party might be “misinformed” about Trump’s policies and their positive impact on the black community.

“A lot of people are misinformed,” Fisher said.

“They don’t really understand because they don’t educate themselves on Donald Trump as a person and his history, but if they do that, and it’s going to take… educated leaders to getting the word out there, I think that it’ll happen on its own, and it’ll be organic because personally, I love the man.

“How could you not like a real man?” he continued.

“How could you not relate to someone like that?”

Despite his change in political allegiance, Fisher emphasized that he remains associated with Black Lives Matter and is committed to advocating a message of “unity.”

“My message that I preach and that I tell is unity,” Fisher said.

“It’s a message of unity, unity driven.”

“I want to bring together all the marginalized groups from the margins and bring them to the center because we’re stronger together as… one nation under God, indivisible…”
