GOP lawmakers in three states, namely Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania, have taken steps to eliminate President Joe Biden’s name from the ballots for the upcoming 2024 election, as reported by Breitbart. These Republican legislators are currently working on drafting legislation to ensure that Biden’s name does not appear on the ballots. If successful, this move could pose a significant challenge for Biden in both the Democratic primary and the general election, particularly in these crucial swing states.
The GOP state lawmakers behind the move are:
Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R) in Pennsylvania
Rep. Charlice Byrd (R) in Georgia
Rep. Cory McGarr (R) in Arizona
According to a report by Slay News, the state representatives are taking action to counter the Democrats’ use of “lawfare” to target President Donald Trump.
In a 4-3 decision, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday to eliminate Trump’s name from the state ballots. The Democratic justices on the Supreme Court claimed that Trump’s inclusion on the state’s presidential ballot is prohibited by the “Insurrection Clause” in the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution. However, it is important to note that there was no actual “insurrection” and Trump had no involvement in the events of January 6th, which the allegations vaguely refer to.
“We are joining forces to introduce legislation to REMOVE Joe Biden from the ballot in Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania,” the lawmakers told Breitbart.
“The absurdity of radical Democrat judges removing Donald Trump from the ballot in Colorado will be a stain on the American political system for decades. By their very own interpretation of the law, Joe Biden is 100% not eligible to run for political office.”
“Democrats’ insane justification to remove Trump can just as easily be applied to Joe Biden for his ‘insurrection’ at the southern border and his alleged corrupt family business dealings with China,” they continued.
“Colorado radicals just changed the game and we are not going to sit quietly while they destroy our Republic.
“To be clear, our objective is to showcase the absurdity of Colorado’s decision and allow ALL candidates to be on the ballot in all states,” they wrote.
“To do that, we must fight back as Republicans against the communists currently running our great country.”
Republicans were immediately infuriated by the ruling of the Colorado Supreme Court. The decision has been widely criticized as an attempt to interfere with the election process.
Numerous suggestions were put forward to prevent Biden from appearing on state ballots. Despite Texas Republicans’ threats to respond to the Biden administration’s lenient border policies, no action was ultimately taken.
“While GOP elites are asleep at the wheel, the Democrats are very serious about destroying the American Republic,” political strategist Cliff Maloney told Breitbart.
