The campaign of ex-President Donald Trump confirmed on Saturday that he is in good health and is currently undergoing evaluation at a nearby medical center following an alleged shooting incident at a political gathering.
Trump spokesman Steven Cheung said that Trump was “fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.”
Cheung added that Trump “thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act.”
During Trump’s speech to a large crowd of supporters in Pennsylvania, what seemed to be gunshots rang out, resulting in blood on his face. He then stood, raised his fist, and urged the audience to “fight” as the Secret Service quickly escorted him away from the stage.
“An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania,” the U.S. Secret Service said in a statement. “The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available.”

The Secret Service reacted swiftly when Trump was quickly escorted off stage during his rally on Saturday following what appeared to be gunshots. Trump instinctively covered his ear as the crowd and him took cover upon hearing the loud bangs. Limited information is currently accessible regarding the incident.
