Should 8-year-old Liam have the opportunity to cast a vote for president, it appears he would choose to support Donald Trump. Liam, who has held admiration for Trump throughout his life, had the chance to meet him at a rally in New York on Wednesday, as reported by Fox News.

The series of events leading to Liam’s meeting with Trump, who has a rare brain disorder, began when the boy received a birthday letter from Trump. His response to this gesture gained widespread attention.

“It’s a pipe dream, I can never imagine, to thank the world for helping my son come this far and showing support and making his dream come true, because, believe it or not, this is definitely probably one of his big dreams, to meet Donald Trump, his hero since he was probably born. If not, very close,” Liam’s dad said.

Siobhan, his mother, conveyed that the doctors informed the family that Liam may never be able to walk, speak, or eat independently.

“My buddy here plays ice hockey, he does roller hockey, he does very good in school, plays sports…we’re so proud of him,” she said in an interview before Trump’s rally at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale.

The location of the event is in proximity to the family’s residence in Long Island. Liam’s mother stated that he has been a supporter of Trump since he was just 18 months old. Subsequently, Liam’s family received an invitation to the rally as VIP guests, where they were seated three rows from the stage. The experience was further enhanced when Liam had the opportunity to meet Trump.

“I’m supposed to be on that stage, but that doesn’t matter because I got you the best present,” Trump said to Liam in a video of a private meeting before the rally. “This is the best present you’ll ever have.”

Trump then gave Liam a box and said, “in there is real good stuff.”
