Republican Senator J.D. Vance from Ohio engaged in a contentious exchange with New York Times journalist Lulu Garcia-Navarro during an interview that was published on Saturday. He accused her of merely “repeating slogans” rather than providing substantive answers regarding the issue of censorship.

Vance was a guest on the New York Times podcast titled “The Interview,” where Garcia-Navarro raised the topic of the contentious 2020 election. Throughout the discussion, she persistently questioned Vance about his stance on certifying the results of the 2020 election.

“Senator Vance, I’m going to ask you again. Did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election?” Garcia-Navarro asked after a back-and-forth with Vance, who replied, “Did big technology companies censor a story that independent studies have suggested would have cost Trump millions of votes? I think that’s the question.”
