According to a recent report by Axios, Iran has allegedly conveyed a cautionary message to the United States regarding its anticipated response towards Israel. As per three U.S. officials cited by Axios, Iran utilized various Arab countries as intermediaries to communicate this message to the Biden administration earlier this week. The message emphasized that if the U.S. intervenes in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, American forces stationed in the region will face attacks. This warning coincides with the anticipation of Iranian authorities launching a retaliatory assault on Israel in response to the killing of a prominent Iranian general in Damascus.
Iran told the U.S. to stay out of fighting between Israel and Iran or face an attack on U.S. forces in the region.
"The Iranian message was we will attack the forces that attack us, so don't f–k with us and we won't f–k with you," a U.S. official says. https://t.co/DEmDCyUTtf

Iran’s supreme leader has made a firm commitment to ensuring that there will be consequences for the strike. Nevertheless, Iranian officials have privately indicated that the retaliation will be restrained.
According to Axios, both Israel and the U.S. anticipate that an Iranian attack would involve the deployment of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and attack drones from Iran towards Israeli territory.
Furthermore, it has been reported that the U.S. has requested Israel to inform them in advance before taking any action in response to an attack. Despite official denials, Iranian officials have expressed their belief that the U.S. played a role in the strike that resulted in the death of their general.
