Everytown for Gun Safety, an organization associated with Mike Bloomberg, has ranked New York as the second state in the United States when it comes to gun control laws. They commend the state for being a pioneer in implementing innovative measures to regulate firearms. These measures encompass universal background checks, a ban on “assault weapons,” a red flag law, and a prohibition on “high-capacity” magazines, among various other regulations.
