Tens of thousands of anti-Israel protesters flooded the streets of Washington D.C. over the weekend. Disturbing scenes depicted pro-Hamas demonstrators urging Israel to halt its self-defense efforts against terrorist attacks.
These protesters called for a “ceasefire” regarding Israel’s response to the October 7 terror attacks, during which Hamas took the lives of hundreds of innocent civilians, including children and American citizens. The demonstrators accused Israel of committing a “massacre of civilians” in Hamas-controlled Gaza.
It’s worth noting that there was no mention of the Israeli casualties inflicted by Hamas during these protests.
“We’re here to say we support freedom for Palestine,” ANSWER Coalition media coordinator Walter Smolarek said, according to NBC Washington.
“We’re here to demand a cease-fire now.
“We demand an end to the massacre of civilians in Gaza.”
“We’re gathered here because we believe that the Palestinian people have the right to live in freedom, have the right to live in peace and without being subjected to constant bombardments, to constant imprisonment, harassment, the occupation of their land,” Smolarek added.
The huge crowd of protesters took over downtown D.C. in disturbing scenes not seen since the holocaust.

During the protests, one pro-Hamas speaker called on the crowd to rebel against Israel using “any means necessary.”
“And I do mean any means necessary!” they asserted.
