The House voted Tuesday night to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib for her statements regarding Israel and HANNIT, with twenty-two Democrats, along with most Republicans, expressing their condemnation of Tlaib’s promotion of false narratives related to the HANNIT terrorist attack on October 7th.
“Her offensive and antisemitic rhetoric is inappropriate within Congress or in our national discourse,” stated Rep. David Kustoff (R-TN).
Tlaib has yet to denounce the tragic events involving Jewish victims and has also called for the “destruction of the state of Israel.”
The vote resulted in a tally of 234 in favor and 188 against.
Four Republicans voted against the censure of Tlaib, while one Democrat and three Republicans abstained by voting “present.” The Republicans who opposed censuring Tlaib included Buck, Duarte, Massie, and McClintock.
The measure, presented by Representative Rich McCormick, a Republican from Georgia, argued that Tlaib’s statement following the HANNIT attack on Israel, in which she called for an end to “the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance,” amounted to a “defense” of terrorism.
“I grieve the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost yesterday, today, and every day. I am determined as ever to fight for a just future where everyone can live in peace, without fear and with true freedom, equal rights, and human dignity. The path to that future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance. The failure to recognize the violent reality of living under siege, occupation, and apartheid makes no one safer. No person, no child anywhere should have to suffer or live in fear of violence. We cannot ignore the humanity in each other. As long as our country provides billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government, this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue.”
Rep. Rashida Tlaib
Tlaib’s emphasizing of the phrase “from the river to the sea,” a is code for the extermination of the Jewish people was part of the reason for the vote.
The resolution called the phrase “a genocidal call to violence to destroy the state of Israel and its people to replace it with a Palestinian state extending from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.”

The United States military has deployed a nuclear submarine to the Middle East as tensions continue to mount amid the Israel-Hamas conflict. The Ohio-class submarine has been deployed as a show of deterrence against further escalation. The move comes as the Israel-Hamas war nears the one-month mark. Israel declared war after Hamas-led forces slaughtered 1,400 innocent people during a surprise terrorist attack in Israel on October 7.
In a statement Sunday, the U.S. Central Command provided no additional details about the deployment. However, it posted an image that appeared to show an Ohio-class submarine in Egypt’s Suez Canal near its Suez Canal Bridge. The U.S. is intending to send an unmistakable message to its enemies. Officials acknowledging the use of these submarines or sharing information about their location is very rare.
The submarines represent part of America’s so-called “nuclear triad” of atomic weapons. The triad also includes land-based ballistic missiles and nuclear bombs aboard strategic bombers. Ohio-class submarines can carry nuclear ballistic missiles as well as cruise missiles. However, it is not immediately clear if the submarine now operating near Israel is carrying nuclear ballistic missiles.
The U.S. continues to bolster forces in the Mediterranean Sea and in the surrounding region as tensions remain high with Iran. Iran financially and militarily supports the Islamic terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah, both terror groups currently attacking Israel.
Separately, Central Command shared an image of a nuclear-capable B-1 bomber also operating in the Mideast. The U.S. has deployed or redirected more than 17,350 military personnel to the region since the Oct. 7 attacks. This includes those in carrier strike groups, troops deployed, and the Bataan amphibious ready group. The U.S. has also sent F-35s, F-15s, F-16s, A-10s, and F-18s to the Middle East.
The heavy military presence comes as U.S. military personnel and coalition forces in the region have been attacked dozens of times amid the ongoing fighting in Israel and Gaza. Last month, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that the U.S. expects Iranian proxies to seek opportunities to escalate the Israel-Hamas war.
The senior Biden administration officials also asserted that the White House is prepared to respond accordingly if American civilians or armed forces became targets.
“This is not what we want, not what we’re looking for,” Blinken said on October 22. “We don’t want escalation. We don’t want to see our forces or our personnel come under fire. But if that happens, we’re ready for it.”
Austin added: “What we’re seeing is a prospect of a significant escalation of attacks on our troops and our people throughout the region. We’re going to do what’s necessary to make sure that our troops are in that position and they were protected and that we have the ability to respond.” He affirmed that the U.S. has the right to defend itself.
“We won’t hesitate to take the appropriate action,” he added.
On Monday, November 6, Austin spoke with Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant and reiterated America’s ironclad commitment to Israel’s right to defend itself. According to the U.S. Department of Defense, he also reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to deter any state or non-state actor seeking to escalate this conflict. Austin reportedly emphasized the importance of both protecting civilians and delivering humanitarian assistance.

Tens of thousands of anti-Israel protesters flooded the streets of Washington D.C. over the weekend. Disturbing scenes depicted pro-Hamas demonstrators urging Israel to halt its self-defense efforts against terrorist attacks.
These protesters called for a “ceasefire” regarding Israel’s response to the October 7 terror attacks, during which Hamas took the lives of hundreds of innocent civilians, including children and American citizens. The demonstrators accused Israel of committing a “massacre of civilians” in Hamas-controlled Gaza.
It’s worth noting that there was no mention of the Israeli casualties inflicted by Hamas during these protests.
“We’re here to say we support freedom for Palestine,” ANSWER Coalition media coordinator Walter Smolarek said, according to NBC Washington.
“We’re here to demand a cease-fire now.
“We demand an end to the massacre of civilians in Gaza.”
“We’re gathered here because we believe that the Palestinian people have the right to live in freedom, have the right to live in peace and without being subjected to constant bombardments, to constant imprisonment, harassment, the occupation of their land,” Smolarek added.
The huge crowd of protesters took over downtown D.C. in disturbing scenes not seen since the holocaust.

“Nothing warms my heart more than to see democrats get what they want.”
Prominent liberal TV talk show host Bill Maher has made accusations against several leading Democrats, suggesting they are running “shadow campaigns” for the 2024 election while not openly acknowledging their plans to challenge President Joe Biden.
Maher also commended Representative Dean Phillips (D-MN) for officially launching a primary challenge against Biden last week.
During an appearance on his HBO show on Friday night, Maher extended his appreciation to Phillips for entering the Democratic primary. He clarified to the candidate that it wasn’t necessarily an endorsement but expressed the possibility of endorsing him in the future.
“I endorsed the idea,” Maher said Friday.
“Because I did an editorial a couple of weeks ago calling [Biden] ‘Ruth Bader Biden.’
“And look, we both struggle with the same thing.
“We like Joe Biden, right? And we think he’s done a good job.
“Ruth Bader Ginsburg did a good job and did not know when to quit, and that’s why you’re here.”
“And it’s not like others are doing this in a — sort of a — shadow campaign,” Maher later said.
“I mean, Gavin Newsom, our governor, seems to be all over the world.”
“I saw that,” Phillips smirked.
“You know, they’re going to the battleground states in the private — they’re really doing it, but I feel like at least you are honest, and you’re saying, ‘No, I’m gonna do it.’ Just do it.”
Phillips has been vocal in urging other Democrats to join the primary race, emphasizing that there are already “21 of us on the ballot in New Hampshire.”
The congressman explained to Maher that becoming a candidate for president in the United States merely requires a $1,000 check and being a 35-year-old, U.S.-born citizen.
He also disclosed that he made efforts to recruit another strong contender, attempting to persuade Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer to join the race.
He continued by claiming Whitmer would make “an outstanding president.”
“And she’s one of those who’s running a shadow campaign,” Maher interjected.
“Everybody’s waiting until 2028,” Phillips said.
“And I’m making the contention to all of you tonight that I’m not sure that we will have a 2028 election in the way that we expect to happen if the inevitable happens and it is President Biden against Donald Trump.
“I mean, the numbers are astounding everybody. If we don’t start to acknowledge that — there’s this bizarre and very dangerous culture of silence in Washington, in certain political-industrial complex circles, that is dangerous — I mean, dangerous.
“And we’re putting blinders on. It’ll make 2016 look like a joyful year.”
Maher continued by offering compliments to Newsom, who he said has to “move to the center,” and Vice President Kamala Harris, who has even worse polling numbers than Biden.
Phillips responded by reiterating “the more the merrier” as far as potential Biden challengers.
“It’s still not too late to jump into this race,” Phillips said.
“I wish we had more competition instead of a coordination.
“This is not that difficult, and I don’t understand why people are so hesitant to do what the country needs so desperately.
“I called candidates who I say are more proximate to the race.
“They wouldn’t take my call,” he said.
“They had their political people take the call.
“They asked me not to use their names.
“You know, when I say every – most of my colleagues talk about this every day in hushed tones in the hallways – it’s saying the quiet part out loud.”
Maher, who had long been a staunch supporter of Biden, has shown signs of doubt regarding the president’s prospects in the 2024 election. His concerns were brought up during his “Club Random” conversation with Democratic strategist James Carville, a former key advisor to Bill Clinton, who is raising concerns based on recent poll data.
“I think we’re on the same page with Biden,” Maher said.
“Did a great service, but whereas in 2020, maybe he was the only one who could have beaten Trump, I think now he’s the only one who will lose to him.”
“He did great not just because he beat Trump, but, you know, a lot of stuff he did — Afghanistan, Ukraine he handled right, everybody else’s economy was worse than ours after the pandemic.
“These are some pretty big things,” he continued.
“But he will lose because at some point, perception becomes reality.
“And look, do I think he can do the job? Absolutely.
“Government, as you well know better than anybody, is done in small rooms like the Oval Office, where people are talking quietly and decisions are made.
“I think he still can do that fine. He cannot run for president.
“He’ll look bad in the debates… I think, going to lose.”

“How many Democrats does it take to solve a problem?
Nobody knows.
It’s never been done before.”
(SNews) – The leader of the Lebanese Shia Islamist terrorist group Hezbollah has warned that America will soon “pay a heavy price” for supporting Israel.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah gave a one-and-a-half hour-long speech loaded with threats.
The speech was full of threats and ultra-provocative heated words aimed at Israel and the United States.
He emphasized that Hezbollah’s full entry into war with Israel will be determined based on developing events in Gaza.
He warned that Hezbollah will enter the war if Israel continues to defend itself from Hamas’s terrorist attacks.
Shelling on the Israel-Lebanese border was reportedly ongoing throughout the speech in Beirut.
Nasrallah reportedly addressed his top officers via a remote feed from a secure location.
“I assure you all options are open on the southern front,” Nasrallah declared during his speech.
“They can be adopted anytime,” he said.
“I assure you it will not be the end, this is not sufficient.”
“If you wish to steer away from a regional war, you must end the war on Gaza,” he added.
“This front will develop according to developments in Gaza.”
“If Israel strikes Lebanon it will be the most foolish act in all of Israel’s existence,” the terror chief warned.
Nasrallah related that Hezbollah was warned soon after the October 7 attacks that the U.S. military will respond if the terrorist group enters the conflict.
U.S. ships and warplanes positioned in the Mediterranean would bombard southern Lebanon if Hezbollah fighters escalate attacks on Israel.
But Nasrallah said, “We will continue to infiltrate” and that Hezbollah’s calculus will be “a civilian for a civilian.”
He suggested that attacks from southern Lebanon would be determined based on the intensity of Israel’s strikes against Hamas.
“To the Americans I say, focusing your threats on Hezbollah and the region are pointless,” Nasrallah said.
The U.S. said it “would not only attack Lebanon but will attack Iran.”
“Your fleets in the Mediterranean do not and will not cause us to fear.
“We have prepared for your fleet what it takes.
“You Americans remember your defeats from Lebanon, Iraq, and Afghanistan… your humiliating retreat from Afghanistan.”
He praised the recent attacks by Iraqi Shia militias against the U.S. bases in the region.
“If an all-out war erupts your fleet will be no good, your warplanes will be pointless, you will pay a heavy price,” he warned.
“Only you Americans can end what is happening now in Gaza since you started it.
“The only factor that will affect our position is the progression of the war.”
America is “directly responsible,” he added.
“I tell Israel: Do not go any further.
“Many civilians have already died.
“I promise you: A civilian for a civilian.”
At one point in the speech, he highlighted Hezbollah’s daily missiles and shelling of northern Israel.
He claimed the attacks have served to force Israel to deploy up to one-third of its military hardware and assets to its northern border.
Nasrallah explained that in doing so, Israel is not prevented from focusing its full firepower on attacking Hamas, which he called “resistance factions.”

The U.S., Israel, and various Lebanese political factions have warned and urged Iran-backed Hezbollah not to escalate the conflict with Israel.
Further Israeli officials have warned of military strikes on Hezbollah’s key backers in Damascus and Iran should it escalate the war along Israel’s northern border.
