“President Trump is a man of integrity”
Keisha Lance Bottoms, a senior advisor to Vice President Kamala Harris, reiterated on CNN Friday that the vice president’s remarks regarding shooting intruders were intended as humor, asserting that she anticipated the comments would attract media attention.
In a Thursday interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harris remarked that she would shoot a home intruder, subsequently laughing and acknowledging that she “probably shouldn’t have said that.” During her appearance on “The Lead With Jake Tapper,” Bottoms stressed that the vice president was joking and underscored her endorsement of “the Second Amendment” in response to Tapper’s inquiries regarding the statement.
“Well, she was joking. I mean, obviously, the vice president’s given multiple interviews and she knows that every single thing that she says will be picked apart. So I mean, it was a joke and she knew that we would still be talking about it today,” Bottoms said.
Watch:
“But I think it’s important that people know that the vice president respects the right to bear arms. That she supports the Second Amendment, but she wants responsible gun ownership and she wants our communities to be safe,” Bottoms continued. “So it was a joke that we‘re still talking about today. But again, I think it humanizes the vice president, and I think that‘s important as we are 46 days from the election.”
During her initial presidential debate with former President Donald Trump on September 10, Harris emphasized that both she and her running mate, Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, are “gun owners,” asserting that they do not intend to take anyone’s guns away.
The Vice President has consistently advocated for a prohibition on what are termed “assault weapons” and has called for universal background checks for all firearm transactions, including handguns. While campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, Harris proposed mandatory buyback programs for “assault weapons” and indicated to MSNBC’s Craig Melvin in October 2019 that she might confiscate “as many as 10 million guns.”
The NFL asserts that it has undertaken a “nonpartisan” initiative to encourage voter participation for the 2024 election; however, an examination of its partner organizations indicates that it has exclusively collaborated with groups that advocate for left-leaning candidates and issues.
On its NFL Votes webpage, it explains itself as a “league-wide, nonpartisan initiative that supports and encourages civic engagement among NFL players, and legends, club and league personnel, and fans.” The campaign, co-sponsored with the left-wing NFL Players Association, “focuses on three key components of the electoral process: voter education, voter registration, and voter activation,” the league adds.
However, as highlighted by The Federalist, the NFL’s Get Out The Vote (GOTV) partners comprise some of the most prominent left-leaning activist organizations currently active. While this may initially appear commendable, a closer examination of the partners reveals that the league collaborates with I Am a Voter, Rock the Vote, Rise to Vote, Vet the Vote, and Votolatino. Although these organizations present themselves as “nonpartisan,” they have a well-documented history of predominantly supporting left-wing candidates and initiatives, and are largely staffed, led, and founded by individuals with leftist affiliations.
Among these, Rock the Vote stands out as the oldest, having been established in 1990, and has been a significant advocate for Barack Obama and his initiatives, particularly the Affordable Care Act. Its leadership is predominantly composed of former Obama staffers, Democratic donors, and individuals aligned with leftist ideologies.
Additionally, the Voto Latino Action Fund, founded in 2013, has strong ties to leftist figures, including Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from New York. Furthermore, Julian Castro, who served as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development during the Obama administration, is identified as a senior adviser to this organization.
I Am A Voter represents another left-leaning organization, prominently featuring Hollywood figures such as the outspoken actress Debra Messing. She co-founded this group alongside Mandana Dayani, a notable figure in the fashion industry who also aligns with leftist ideologies. It is important to note that I Am A Voter has consistently refrained from endorsing any moderate or conservative Republican candidates.
Additionally, the NFL has collaborated with Rise to Vote, an organization that has generated substantial revenue by positioning itself as a primary voter registration entity within the professional sports community in the United States. The board of this organization includes several prominent left-leaning individuals, such as NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, activist Gabrielle Raymond McGee, Maverick Carter, a business associate of LeBron James, Michigan’s Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who has been associated with the Black Lives Matter movement, among others.
It is noteworthy that none of these organizations feature conservative or Republican members on their boards, nor have they supported Republican or conservative initiatives or candidates. Despite this, the NFL continues to label this initiative and its partners as “nonpartisan.”

Mark Krikorian, the executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, asserts that the policy of “unlimited immigration” implemented by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris has been executed intentionally rather than as a result of incompetence.
In a recent hearing of the House Oversight Committee, Krikorian emphasized that the influx of millions of migrants into American communities within a span of fewer than four years is a calculated decision, not a mere coincidence.
“The Biden-Harris record on immigration is the result of neither incompetence nor failure. The largest border crisis in the history of our country, probably the largest such event in human history, began on January 20, 2021, on purpose — not due to incompetence,” Krikorian said:
“Since that date, there have been more than 10 million encounters of inadmissible aliens at our borders, millions of whom have been and who continue to be unlawfully allowed to enter the United States. This did not happen because the Biden-Harris administration and its impeached Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas made mistakes or miscalculations.”
Krikorian stated that the right-to-migrate philosophy espoused by President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has shaped the administration’s official border policies, despite being in conflict with federal immigration law.
“There are two ways of thinking about the immigration issue overall: Either no one in the world is allowed to come here and we make limited exceptions or everyone in the world is allowed to come here with certain limited exceptions,” Krikorian said:
The Immigration and Nationality Act, of course, is based on the former perspective. No foreigner has a right to move here, but we the people decide the specific grounds to admit a limited number of people. [Emphasis added]
“This administration’s approach to immigration is based on … the opposite view — that everyone in the world has a right to move here if they so wish and the American people have no right to place limits on immigration apart from those related to basic safety.”
Krikorian expressed that he favors the term “unlimited immigration” over “open borders” to more precisely characterize the Biden-Harris policy, irrespective of its effects on American citizens.
“I would describe the Biden-Harris approach to immigration as one of unlimited immigration that holds that any limits on the levels of immigration are morally indefensible and circumventing those limits by any means is a moral duty,” Krikorian said.
“This is fundamentally contrary to federal law, of course, but also contrary to the Constitution and the sovereignty and consent of the government,” he continued.
Krikorian’s testimony coincides with a report released this week by the House Homeland Security Committee, which outlined that over 85 percent of migrants arriving at the southern border are being integrated into American communities.
Several individuals who participated in former President Donald Trump’s rally in Tucson, Arizona, on September 12 have reported experiencing an unexplained eye condition in the days following the event.
According to Newsweek, after the rally, which attracted over 2,000 attendees, multiple individuals sought treatment at local emergency rooms. The Trump campaign has indicated that it is investigating the situation. The Secret Service informed News 4 Tucson that it did not observe any unusual occurrences at the rally and was not aware of any specific threats to Trump in Arizona.
The rally featured 48 special guests who stood alongside Trump, arranged in two groups—one on the right side of the stage and the other on the left. While the group on the left reported no problems, several attendees from the right side experienced significant eye pain after leaving the rally, as reported by News 4 Tucson.
Mayra Rodriguez, a former director of Planned Parenthood who now supports Trump, shared with News 4 Tucson that she experienced burning sensations in her eyes and impaired vision during the rally. She subsequently visited the emergency room, where medical staff questioned whether she had been exposed to any substances.
Rodriguez reported, “I can’t see anything. When I try to open my eyes, it’s like a white cloud of cover. It hurts,” she said.
Another woman suffering from the same symptoms said “This is horrible.”
One man told reporters, “My eyes were red like hell; it was terrible; I just couldn’t handle it.”
Kathleen Winn, a previous candidate for Congress representing Arizona’s Congressional District 6, provided an interview to News 4 Tucson following the event. She expressed to the outlet, “We hope there are no malicious individuals involved in this situation and that it is not a calculated attack.”

Residents of Springfield, Ohio, expressed significant apprehensions regarding crime and the rising number of migrants during a town hall meeting with Vivek Ramaswamy on Thursday. According to the Columbus Dispatch, the Biden-Harris administration has contributed to a 25 percent increase in the town’s population due to Haitian migration. Detractors of this trend characterize it as an invasion, resulting in fatalities, dislocated residents, and escalating insurance costs.
“There simply are too many mass migrants here in this town, and they’re too richly subsidized. It’s pushing people out of their homes. It’s pushing people out of their jobs,” one resident said during the town hall.
“We are at a level of desperation,” another meeting attendee stated. “We have been put down and called racists, not only in print but also to our faces at city commission meetings.”
A resident recounted an incident in which the police did not respond promptly after a man reportedly pursued her daughter wielding a machete.
“She was chased by a man with a machete on her way to work,” the mother recalled. “[She] called the police. She told them what had happened and wanted to file a report. Two hours later, the police still had not called her back and never checked on the crime.”
The mayor of the city, Rob Rue, received an invitation to participate in the meeting to listen to the concerns of the residents; however, he failed to attend.
“I’ve been a resident Springfield, Clark County for 61 years, [and] if our City Council and everybody wants to be a part of the solution – I’ve been sitting right there by the door, I haven’t seen a single one of them,” a fourth resident said at the event.
