Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is strongly opposing the recent rule change by the Biden administration regarding transgender students in primary schools. He has made it clear that he will not comply with any aspect of this rule. Last week, the Biden administration introduced new regulations for transgender students, falling under Title IX. These regulations aim to prevent schools from enforcing the use of bathrooms based on students’ assigned gender at birth.

Education Secretary Miguel Cardona stated that the new rule ensures that schools are safe, welcoming, and respectful of everyone’s rights. However, he did not provide an explanation as to how this rule change promotes a safe and welcoming environment for the majority of students who may be confused about their gender.

“No one should face bullying or discrimination just because of who they are, who they love,” Cardona told reporters on April 19. “Sadly, this happens all too often.”

However, DeSantis emphasized in his response to the announcement that no single entity, be it the federal government or any other, possesses the authority to discriminate against children who are not experiencing challenges with their gender identity.

“We are not gonna let Joe Biden try to inject men into women’s activities,” DeSantis said Thursday on X. “We are not gonna let Joe Biden undermine the rights of parents. And we are not gonna let Joe Biden abuse his constitutional authority to try to impose these policies on us here in Florida.”

He added: “We will not comply.”

While the clapping seals in the audience dutifully applauded Biden’s absurd statement, there was a man named Brandon Bishop, the secretary-treasurer of NABTU, seated just behind him. His facial expressions revealed a completely different thought process.

At first, Bishop appeared to agree with Biden’s words, but then he seemed perplexed. In the next moment, his eyes darted around suspiciously, as if questioning whether anyone else had noticed the falsehood. Eventually, he stopped applauding altogether. As the applause subsided, Biden’s speech became less coherent. He uttered something along the lines of, “And still got all of this other things did.” This might explain the confusion on Bishop’s face as well.

It was evident that Bishop had been paying close attention because none of Biden’s statements were even remotely true. According to a report by The Visual Capitalist on April 16, the United States’ debt payments have soared to $1 trillion, accumulating at a staggering rate of $2 billion per day. The actual national debt has reached a colossal amount of $34 trillion.

In fact, Biden has significantly increased the national debt from $27.7 trillion in 2020 to $34 trillion in just four years. Not only that, but CNBC reports that under Biden’s administration, the debt has been growing by $1 trillion every 100 days and is projected to reach $35 trillion soon.

In the ongoing contentious dispute surrounding the restraining order imposed on former President Donald Trump during his ongoing trial in New York City, Trump emerged from court on Thursday with optimistic remarks regarding the day’s proceedings. According to CNN, Trump was summoned for a hearing on Thursday in response to prosecutors’ accusations that he had violated the restraining order, which prohibits him from making any comments about witnesses or individuals associated with the trial. These allegations were based on recent statements made by Trump in the past few days.

The charges against Trump include 34 counts of first-degree falsification of business records, which are being prosecuted as felonies by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Ankush Khardori, a former federal prosecutor, explained that while the core of the case revolves around claims made by adult film actress Stormy Daniels regarding an alleged affair with Trump – a claim vehemently denied by the former president – the actual criminal charges pertain to the manner in which payments made to Daniels were recorded in the financial records of the Trump Organization.

“The crime actually has to do with all of this somewhat banal record-keeping stuff. This is a case where I think we’re going to actually see quite a few somewhat dull witnesses producing things like documents, ledgers, invoices, things that just have to come into evidence to complete this case,” he said.

According to the New York Post, David Pecker, the former publisher of the National Enquirer, revealed on Thursday that the magazine had acquired the rights to numerous stories that it had no intention of publishing. This includes not only the allegations made by Daniels about Trump. “Today was breathtaking in this room,” Trump said after court ended. “You saw what went on. It was breathtaking … amazing testimony.”

“This is a trial that should have never happened, and this is a case that should have never been filed. And it was really an incredible day. Open your eyes. We can’t let this continue to happen to our country,” Trump said.
