The issue of President Joe Biden’s age continues to persist despite the release of a detrimental report by a special counsel. According to a recent ABC News/Ipsos poll, a staggering 86% of Americans believe that Biden is not fit to serve another term due to his age. It is worth mentioning that this percentage comprises 59% of Americans who believe that both Biden and former President Donald Trump are too old, while 27% specifically think that Biden is too old.

In contrast, the age factor is a concern for a majority of respondents. Specifically, 62% of the participants believe that Trump, aged 77, is too old.
On the other hand, within the Democratic party, 73% of individuals express the opinion that Biden is too old, whereas only 35% of Republicans share the same sentiment towards the former president.
Furthermore, among independent voters, a significant 91% believe that Biden is too old, and 71% hold the same view about Trump. It is worth noting that the poll was conducted on February 9-10, following the release of a report by Special Counsel Hur regarding Biden’s handling of classified documents.
He declined to recommend charges against the president, even though investigators “uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen.”
In one damning section of the report, Biden is described as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Investigators also believed, “Based on our direct interactions with and observations of him, he is someone for whom many jurors will want to identify reasonable doubt.”
“It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him — by then a former president well into his eighties — of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness,” the report added.
Hur’s report also claimed Biden “did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died.”
