Vice President Kamala Harris has pledged to enact legislation as president that would enable millions of undocumented immigrants to ultimately obtain naturalized American citizenship, alongside the implementation of universal no-excuse mail-in voting across the country.

At a rally held in Glendale, Arizona, Harris expressed her support for amnesty for the estimated 11 to 22 million undocumented individuals in the United States through what is referred to as “comprehensive reform.”

“We know our immigration system is broken and we know what it takes to fix it: comprehensive reform. That includes strong border security and an earned pathway to citizenship,” Harris said.

An amnesty of this nature would swiftly introduce millions of newly legalized foreign workers into the United States labor market, creating competition for working and middle-class Americans. Under the administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris, the job market has already seen an influx of millions of newly arrived foreign workers, while a significant number of native-born Americans have exited the workforce.

“What that essentially means is that all of the job growth we have seen [under Biden and Harris] has been going to foreign-born workers — a category…which the Bureau of Labor Statistics admits includes illegal aliens,” Heritage Foundation economist E.J. Antoni said.

In her address, Harris expressed her commitment to “finally pass” the Freedom to Vote Act, which aims to implement nationwide no-excuse mail-in voting, among other provisions. This legislation would guarantee that registered voters have access to drop boxes for submitting their mail-in ballots.

Additionally, the proposed legislation would facilitate automatic voter registration, allowing individuals to be registered unless they choose to opt out. Notably, states that currently employ automatic voter registration generally do so through their Departments of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
