On social media, Donald Trump, the presumed Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election, criticized Paul Ryan, a board member of Fox News and former Republican House Speaker. Trump denounced Ryan as “very disloyal” and blamed him for eroding trust in Fox News.
“Nobody can ever trust Fox News, and I am one of them, with the weak and ineffective RINO, Paul Ryan, on its Board of Directors,” Trump wrote. “He’s a total lightweight, a failed and pathetic Speaker of the House, and a very disloyal person. Romney was bad, but Paul Ryan made him look worse. As a team, they never had a chance. Rupert and Lachlan, get that dog off your Board – You don’t need him. ALL YOU NEED IS TRUMP. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
President Trump just called out Fox News on Truth Social for working with the “weak and ineffective RINO Paul Ryan” who is on the Fox Board of Directors.
Trump also called Paul Ryan a “dog” and a “very disloyal person.”

During an interview with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto on June 11, Ryan expressed his opinion that Trump was not suitable for the position of office. When Cavuto inquired about the viewers who held a negative view of Ryan and believed that he had significant influence at Fox, Ryan confidently stated that his extensive experience in politics had toughened him and he was able to handle criticism.

“I do think character is a really important issue. If you put yourself above the Constitution, as he has done, I think that makes you unfit for office.” pic.twitter.com/w5FZLTOJKT

During the interview with Cavuto, Ryan, who served as Mitt Romney’s running mate in the 2012 Republican presidential campaign, expressed his observation that President Joe Biden had undergone a transformation since their debate in the same election. It is worth noting that Ryan showed his support for Trump in his initial presidential bid in 2016. However, Ryan emphasized the significance of character by stating his intention to write in the name of a different candidate in early May.
The anti-Trump Republican also said, “Everyone knows we will well lose the election if we nominate this guy again.” Soon after his remarks, Trump took to social media to express his displeasure towards Ryan, urging for the dismissal of the Fox News board member.
“Rupert Murdoch should fire pathetic RINO Paul Ryan from the Board of Fox. Ryan is a loser, always has been, and always will be,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “He was the WEAKEST & MOST INCOMPETENT Speaker of the House in its History. Fox will sink to the absolute bottom of the pack if Paul Ryan has anything to do with it!”
