President Donald Trump has made a firm commitment to prevent the proliferation of “cashless societies” in the United States and has assured voters that he will obstruct the development of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). In recent times, organizations like the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the United Nations (UN) have advocated for the implementation of a CBDC or a “digital dollar.”
Nevertheless, the introduction of “digital cash” poses a significant risk to the privacy, security, and freedom of individuals worldwide. Trump has emphasized that his promise to impede “digital cash” is aimed at safeguarding Americans from potential government oppression. This assurance was given by the 45th president and leading Republican candidate for the 2024 election during a campaign event in New Hampshire.
“As your president, I will never allow the creation of a central bank digital currency,” Trump said on stage.
“This would be a dangerous threat to freedom, and I will stop it from coming to America,” he continued.
“Such a currency would give a federal government, absolute control over your money.
“They could take your money, and you wouldn’t even know it was gone.”
