The encounter between Sen. Joe Manchin and the radical environmentalists of Climate Defense on Friday resulted in differing accounts of who emerged victorious from the confrontation. Depending on which narrative one chooses to believe, the group asserted in a post to X that they had successfully “humiliated” the West Virginia Democrat. However, a condensed version of their initial interaction with him presented a contrasting perspective.
