On Tuesday, viewers expressed their discontent on X regarding the perceived bias exhibited by ABC News debate moderators Linsey Davis and David Muir against former President Donald Trump during the debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.

This debate marked the first and, to date, the only scheduled confrontation between Harris and Trump, as their competition continues to be closely contested. Observers on X alleged that the moderators engaged in more frequent fact-checking and interruptions directed at Trump compared to those aimed at Harris throughout the debate.

“So now it’s Harris, Linsey and Muir v. Trump – just as we said it would be,” Media Research Center founder Brent Bozell posted on X.

Watch:

The initial fact-check during the debate occurred when Davis contested Trump’s assertion that certain Democrats endorse the execution of infants post-birth in the context of abortion, as reported by Newsweek.

Trump was alluding to a 2019 video featuring former Virginia governor Ralph Northam, who stated that if a mother opted not to administer medical care to her newborn, the ““infant would be kept comfortable.” Davis said that “there is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it’s born.”
