Elon Musk has strongly criticized “woke” advertisers attempting to exert control over Twitter/X to suppress his commitment to free speech. During an interview at the New York Times DealBook Summit, Musk accused ad companies of attempting to manipulate him with financial pressure.

Addressing the audience directly, Musk emphatically stated, “Go f*ck yourself.” He repeated the sentiment, making his disapproval of such tactics abundantly clear.

“Is that clear?” he asked as the audience gasped. “I hope it is.”

“Hey Bob,” Musk added, addressing Disney CEO Bob Iger.

Musk clarified that he doesn’t want companies to advertise on X with the expectation that their ad spending gives them the authority to influence how he manages the platform. When the host, Andrew Ross Sorkin, inquired about the impact of his stance on “the economics of X,” Musk bluntly replied with “F-Y” – expressing his disregard for those trying to exert control. Transitioning to another topic, Musk criticized individuals advancing the green agenda for motives driven by financial or political goals unrelated to environmental concerns.

“What I see all over the place is people who care about looking good, while doing evil,” Musk explained.

“F*ck them,” he blasted.

He asserted that his electric vehicle (EV) company, Tesla, has made a more significant environmental impact than all other companies combined. Musk highlighted his role as the CEO of Tesla, emphasizing that he has contributed more to the environment than his critics, particularly those who profess to be “fighting climate change.”

In other parts of the extensive interview, Musk revealed that he won’t be casting his vote for Democrat President Joe Biden in the 2024 election. He clarified that he hasn’t endorsed any presidential candidate yet. Musk also emphasized the importance of safeguarding and promoting free speech.
