Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who is the Democratic Party’s vice presidential nominee, departed on Sunday after a reporter inquired about his “reaction” to the revelation that the remains of six Israeli hostages, including one American citizen, had been found in a Hamas tunnel beneath Gaza.
During his visit to the Minnesota State Fair, Walz was asked “how much” had changed since “last state fair,” as well as how he was managing the dual responsibilities of serving as governor and campaigning for the vice presidency.
While enjoying a vanilla milkshake, a reporter subsequently questioned him regarding his response to the discovery of the bodies of six hostages held by Hamas. In response, Walz chose to turn and walk away.
“Thanks, everybody!” he said, and quickly scurried away.
Watch:
Tim Walz was asked three questions at the state fair—the first two were superficial softballs.
When asked about the six dead hostages in Gaza?
