The firefighters of Ladder Company 11 were instructed to take down a “red line” flag displayed on their fire truck. The flag was put up as a tribute to their fallen comrades who lost their lives during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The news was initially reported by DC Draino, a well-known X platform.

“A politician in Alphabet City came by the fire house and confronted NY’s bravest for having the flag on their rig stating, ‘Isn’t that flag in support of the police?’ They explained to him that it’s been on their rig for years and it’s a part of our 9/11 Memorial as the flag flies next to their fallen brothers,” he wrote. “The politician contacted city officials and demanded it be taken down.”

The next day, a division chief from the FDNY arrived and instructed them to remove the flag.

Can you believe that there would come a day when firefighters in New York City would be compelled to remove a tribute for the victims of 9/11? Thankfully, following a significant public protest, the flag was returned to the fire truck.

“When we raise our voices and fight back, we win,” DC Draino wrote on X.

Recently, a school administrator in the heartland instructed a teenager to take down an American flag from his pickup truck. However, the young individual stood firm and declined to comply. The very next day, numerous fellow students arrived at school with American flags proudly displayed on their vehicles.
