Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has issued a warning that he will exacerbate the current crisis at America’s Southern Border if Democrat President Joe Biden does not meet his demands. Obrador, also known as “AMLO,” delivered this ultimatum during a recent interview. He stated that failure to comply with his demands will result in a surge of illegal immigration at Mexico’s border with the U.S.

These comments were made by the Mexican leader in an interview with “60 Minutes,” where he discussed the challenges at the U.S. southern border under President Biden’s administration. The interview did not address how Biden’s policies contributed to the border crisis, nor did it mention Biden’s lack of action on the issue.

The president on the left insisted earlier this year that in order for the U.S. to receive assistance in addressing the millions of illegal immigrants crossing the southern border, American taxpayers must provide tens of billions of dollars annually to countries in Latin America. Furthermore, he is calling for American work visas for 10 million illegal immigrants already residing in the U.S.

In addition, AMLO is urging Biden to remove sanctions on socialist Venezuela and lift the embargo on communist Cuba. AMLO stated that the decrease in the number of illegal immigrants entering the southern border between December and January was due to measures he implemented. He is now warning that he will reverse these measures if his requests are not fulfilled.

“If they don’t do the things that you said need to be done, then what?” AMLO was asked.

“The flow of migrants … will continue,” he responded.

When asked if he viewed his actions as “diplomatic blackmail,” he responded:

“I am speaking frankly.

“We have to say things as they are, and I always say what I feel.

“I always say what I think.”
